The camp is located in the Talek area of the Koiyaki conservancy on the banks of the Talek river. The river provide a unique boundary between the camp and the park itself. Its tents are amidst large fig trees and croton bushes. With its perfect proximity to the park, game viewing actually start at the camp

Access:
The camp is 5 minutes from the Talet gate and 25min game drive from Olkiombo airstrip. By road it is 5 ½ hours from Nairobi and 45minutes by air.

Description:
The camp is a simple but classy luxury tented camp, temporary fenced - to keep predators out but allow grazers in - with a bed capacity of 33 guests under canvas.
The tents are spacious with twin or queen sized bed, with bed side tables, luggage racks, rags and floor mats and are fully insect and bug proof. The tents have own flush toilets and bathrooms ensuite with running water and hot showers. They have a spacious verandah or deck for outside sitting and game viewing.

Lounge, Dinning Area and Bar:

The camp is fortunate to have a large reception area with a spacious lounge, guest can sit and relax as they await room allocation or just unwind between meals and game drives while reading our informative guide books. There is also a well stocked gift shop where one can find attractive souveniors to take home. The bar area is also a popular spot for a quiet evening.

Meals:
All meals are inclusive in your stay while drinks are not. The food is a fusion of African and International cuisines prepared and presented in a unique African style by our in-house chef. Food is presented and served in long buffet in the dinner area or at the open bandas overlooking the river and the adjacent park.

Activities:
Game drives are conducted daily and can specially arranged at the reception desk or directed with the resident driver/guides. Other activities such as balloon rides, sundowner dinners, visit to Masai village and lectures, nature walks and bird watching are arranged at special guest tariffs.

Vehicles:
The camp has its own game-viewing vehicles with open sides and roof for excellent game spotting and viewing. The vehicles are equipped with HF radios for easy communication with the camp management during game drives encase anything happens to the guests or vehicle.
Clothing:
Simple wear like jeans, shorts and t-shirts work best due to the heat. Open shoes are nice but boots are better when you intend to do a walk. A sunhat, sunglasses, sun scream, lip balm and insect repellant lotion are important to counter the sun's heat, wind, dry conditions and bugs.

Safety:
Safety is of paramount importance and therefore Masai guides patrol the camp at regular intervals after dark. Guests are advised to remain in their tent after dark, and will be escorted between their tent and the lounge/dining areas by a staff member.

Health and Insurance:
Kenya is a malaria zone therefore guests should consult their doctor about prophylactic measures before travelling. Guests should also be covered by comprehensive travel insurance.
